Mammies Mail Order Bride Reviews

5.0 out of 5 starsExcellent Old West Mail Order Bride Novella By E. Lopez on February 10, 2015

Format: Kindle Edition

If you like long short stories or novellas, the old west and Christian mail order bride stories, this book is for you. Stephen’s grandmother wants more little children around and writes to a woman pretending to be Stephen in search of a mail order wife. Sally shows up with four children she hadn’t even mentioned in her letters and not knowing Stephen hadn’t written the letters she received. The confusion and attraction begins and the fun is watching the cords unravel and get knitted together the way the reader knew from the start that they need to be. The story is rich and complete. I was given a free copy of this novella for an honest review. I honestly recommend it to anyone enjoying a quick love story, and I honestly look forward to more from this author.u

What a cute story of a mail order bride and ready-made family for a groom who didn’t even know she was coming. Stephen has been busy running a ranch and had given up on courting. Sally was placed in a situation that she needed to marry a stranger and find a home for her and her four nieces and nephews. What happens when a Grandmother takes matters into her own hands but with the faith that God is in it. Sometimes it takes loosing something special to realize what you had and what you really want. Loved the book!

Stephen Calloway is tough on the outside and knows what he wants and it certainly isn’t the mail order bride that his grandmother Mamie arranged for him. Begrudgingly, he travels to town to meet the woman conned into coming to Waterhole Texas and send her on her way, until he finds her with four kids and no home to go back too.

His strong sense of right and wrong won’t let him abandon her so he let’s her work on his ranch with his grandmother, determined to find her a husband.

As the struggle to find her a husband continues, he grows closer to her and the children. It takes a threat on her life for him to understand that the Lord works in mysterious ways.

Mammie’s mail order Bride is a delightful story of despair, hope and love. I highly recommend this book.

Stephen doesn’t find out his grandmother had been writing to a woman named Sally until the day she arrives to be his mail order bride. They don’t know she is bringing her sister’s four children. Stephen is determined he will not marry her, but when he sees the children he can’t leave them in the street. Will Mammie get a wife for her grandson and the great grandchildren she wants? I really enjoyed this romance and recommend it
